Aqueous Trituration of Cinnabaris Shui Fei Zhu Sha 3-15g Sedates the Heart, calms the Spirit, expels Phlegm, sedates jitteriness and clears Heat.
With Huang Lian and Zhi Gan Cao, for disturbances of the Spirit as a result of Heart Fire.
With Huang Lian, Dang Gui, Sheng Di Huang and Zhi Gan Cao, for disturbances of the Spirit as a result of Heart Fire with concurrent Blood Deficiency.
With Sheng Di Huang, Dang Gui and Zhi Gan Cao, for Heart Blood Deficiency with irritability, palpitations, fright, dizziness and vertigo.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 4.5-18g Drains Fire, resolves Fire toxicity and clears Heart Fire.
With Sheng Di Huang, for insomnia and delirium due to unremitting Heat injuring the Ying level.
With Zhu Sha and Sheng Di Huang, for insomnia and irritability due to Heart Fire.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-9g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 3-9g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, generates fluids and cools Heart Fire.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 1.5-16.5g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Cinnabaris Zhu Sha is no longer used appropriate substitutions must be made.
  • Contraindicated for those in whom Yin Deficiency is the primary condition.
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • Contraindicated for pediatric or geriatric patients.
  • To avoid injury to the Middle Jiao Yang, do not take for long periods of time.
